MTS160 magnetic navigation sensor designed for mobile robots. ECON’s new patented technology detects the angular orientation and longitudinal position of the magnetic track, allowing the robot to accurately navigate along the path and operate stably at higher speeds on curves.
The MTS160 is a high-precision magnetic navigation sensor designed for mobile robots. Its patented technology detects the angular direction and longitudinal position of magnetic tracks, allowing robots to accurately navigate along paths and operate at higher speeds on curves without compromising safety.
The MTS160 supports 25mm or 50mm magnetic strips, has a 160mm sensing width, 1mm resolution, and can operate stably in a working height range of 10-50mm. It can detect magnetic markers, support path divergence and merging, and is compatible with a variety of systems through CAN and RS232 interfaces. With a 200Hz update rate and built-in terminal resistors, the sensor provides reliable performance for primary and auxiliary navigation.
The MTS160 features a compact and durable design with an IP54 protection rating and can operate stably in environments from -40°C to +65°C. RGB status indicators and PC-side configuration tools simplify installation and commissioning, and support online firmware upgrades to ensure that you always stay at the forefront of technology. The MTS160 is a rugged and efficient solution for mobile robot navigation.

FAQ
These can cause inaccurate measurements or false readings. Nearby magnets, electrical equipment, or the Earth's magnetic field can all cause magnetic interference. Limited Range: Magnetic sensors have a limited detection range.
Magnetic navigation uses a specific component of the total magnetic field for navigation - the lithospheric or crustal anomaly field.
The operating principle of magnetic sensors is based on measuring the change in the magnetic moment of a magnetic material in a magnetic field. Magnetic materials (such as ferromagnetic materials) respond to temperature changes, and magnetoelastic materials respond to mechanical stress in the medium with which they interact.
